A growing number of people now have their work assignments coordinated via apps. These platform workers have no fixed workplace and often work alone on short-term employment arrangements. In addition, many platform companies do not consider themselves to be employers and force takeaway couriers, for example, to work as self-employed workers. Including platform workers in the Nordic model, where collective bargaining agreements play a key role in regulating working conditions, is a challenge.

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_button button_url=”https://www.nordictransport.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/NTF_rapport_Plattformsarbete_i_Norden.pdf” button_text=”Report in English” _builder_version=”4.11.2″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_button][et_pb_button button_url=”https://www.nordictransport.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/NTF_rapport_Plattformsarbete_i_Norden_se.pdf” button_text=”Rapporten på svenska” _builder_version=”4.11.2″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_button][et_pb_button button_url=”https://www.nordictransport.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Platform-work-and-solutions-with-a-Nordic-approach.pdf” button_text=”Summary of key findings” _builder_version=”4.11.2″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_button][et_pb_image src=”https://www.nordictransport.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Screenshot-2022-03-17-095510-1.jpg” title_text=”Screenshot 2022-03-17 095510″ _builder_version=”4.11.2″ _module_preset=”default” max_height=”1000px” border_width_all=”1px” border_color_all=”#001233″ global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”4.11.2″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_video src=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJk7XI4bKjY” image_src=”https://www.nordictransport.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Screenshot-2022-03-03-164217.jpg” _builder_version=”4.11.2″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_video][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.11.2″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]

We wanted to investigate the prevailing legal situation in the Nordic region to better understand platform work and the challenges it poses.
