
The Nordic Transport Workers’ Federation NTF will be organising its 17th Ordinary Congress on 23rd – 24th May 2023 in Helsinki Finland.
Future of transport – Nordic unions leading the way
At the NTF congress 150 Nordic union leaders and 30 international guests will gather in Helsinki to discuss the future of transport and how to shape it to the benefit of transport workers. The congress is for the NTF affiliates and invited guestst only. Nordic unions are not just adopting to the changes, but actively participating at the forefront of the progress. The NTF congress will, in addition to statutory items, discuss best practices and innovative solutions. Sharing information and learning from each other – Nordic cooperation at its best!
Time: 23rd – 24th May 2023
The Congress will open on 23rd May at 10.00 and end on 24th May at 15.00.
Registration desk will be open on 23rd May 2023 at 8.30 – 10.00.
Congress dinner will be held on 23rd May at 17.00 – 23.00.
Place: Marina Congress Center, Katajanokanlaituri 6, Helsinki
Languages: Active interpretation will be provided to/from Finnish, English, Icelandic and Scandinavian. Congress documents will be written in English.
Accommodation: All congress participants are kindly asked to book their own accommodation either at Scandic Grand Marina or any other hotel of your choice.

All reservations should be made by using the booking code BNOR230523 by 9 May 2023. When you click on the link above and open the website, next go to the box BOOK in the right corner of the window and choose the right dates and number of persons. After that, click on see rooms and prices and you will be able choose the room by clicking on book. Next you will be able to continue by filling out the requested information and the booking is ready. With this booking code, it is possible to book rooms for the nights of 23-25 May 2023.
Deadlines: We would like to remind the affiliates of the following deadlines:
As announced in the invitation sent to all affiliates on 21st September 2022, the deadline for motions submitted by affiliates was on 23rd December 2022.
The Executive Board´s position on the submitted motions shall be sent to the affiliates at the latest one month before the Congress (23rd April 2023). The same applies to the Executive Board´s own proposals.
In accordance with the NTF statutes § 4 Section 5, the Executive Board´s provisional agenda and working rules for the Congress and Sections shall be sent to the affiliates at the latest one month before the opening of the congress (23rd April 2023).
Other congress documents will also be sent latest one month before the congress (23rd April 2023).

Please note: Current NTF Executive Board members cannot be appointed as congress delegates but they are according to the NTF statutes obliged to attend the congress. EB members have the right to express opinions and proposals in all matters as well as the right to vote in those matters that do not concern discharge of liability for the previous congress period.
Affiliates are also welcome to send observers and advisors. They can be registered via same link as the delegates.
Costs: Each affiliate shall pay for their delegation’s travel and accommodation costs.
